Tammy's Candy Kettle

Had Lunch with a friend on the outside deck. Very accommodating, Tammy made me a Hot cup of the Best coffee I have had in Very Long time The service was excellent and Tammys nice personality was delightful.

This place really is a hidden gem. If you are going to be passing by or have a chance to I cannot recommend this place enough. The jalapeno poppers, cheese fries, and onion rings are incredible. The hamburgers and Reuben are incredible as well. I ordered the Hot Mess burger and got the 2lb option which is 2 patties stacked on top of each other. The patties were cooked perfectly to Medium as I had asked them to be and all of the toppings were a great quality. Everything that was made showed how much Tammy and her husband care for the food.

We saw reviews raving about this place and decided to stop in for lunch. We had the half-pound bacon cheeseburger, fried shrimp, and chicken cordon bleu. The food was delicious! I’m now obsessed with their fried shrimp :) The place has a comfortable atmosphere and the owners are lovely. The food really tastes like delicious home cooking.

Just a quaint little eatery. The place is owned by a husband a wife, and they’re so sweet. We have been told many timess to give the place a try, and today we did. No regrets we both got a burger and oh my god. The flavor was amazing and it was cooked to perfection. We will be back!

You wont be disappointed. Amazing food and genuinely kind service. The burgers are amazing. My parents brought us there to visit the corn fields when I was a kid. It’s neat to return as an adult and know they are just as amazing. Get the chocolate when you see it! There’s a reason it doesn’t last long. Tammy and Charlie know what they’re doing!

Thank you Google. Without it we may have kept on diving by based on the outside. But once you meet and talk with Tammy and hear her and her husband's story it won't matter. The food is out of this world awesome. Get the onion rings for sure. Lite batter crunchy and delicious. The burgers were great and everything is made to order even the coleslaw. Yes, it's a little expensive but you can't put a price on food made with love. They have a few different size burgers and it's hard work so they deserve a lot of praise. Super friendly and just nice to talk with. When you're within 45 min you absolutely should go. A big plus for using environmentally safe food containers. I didn't get any candy but that'll be the next trip. They'll have a website up soon but follow their Facebook page for updates on that. Good luck Tammy!! We'll see you again!

Quaint candy store and restaurant. Not a lot of seating so we had to order take out, as we arrived around 5:15 pm and all seats/tables were full. We got the 1/2 pound cheese burger which was the best we have had in a long long time! Cooked to our liking and to our surprise came with fresh cut fries and coleslaw which were also excellent! Very friendly service too from the lady running things! Wish we were in the area again tomorrow, we would be back for more! Thanks! Oh the building could use a paint job outside! Well worth the stop though!

Once again Tammy's Candy Kettle knocked it out the park. I really don't think there's a better cheeseburger in the 518. I'm not saying it's the best but I don't know that there's one better. If you do, please point me in the direction. I've had a lot of them. I don't know there's a better onion ring in the world. These things are smack! This was a small order of onion rings. A triple cheese 3/4 lb bacon burger. As well as a 3/4 lb hot mess Burger. I also got a cup of chili to warm up when I first got there. As always everything was delicious. The only thing better than the food is Tammy's personality. Talk about the sweetest lady. I've lived in this area for nearly 45 years and only started going recently. Boy do I regret that. As Tammy said herself they are the perfect example of don't judge a book by the cover. I tell people about this place and they doubt me and question me. Then they try it. So far everybody's agreed. Again if you haven't been here next time you're driving up rt 7 heading towards VT don't pass up the opportunity to eat here. Just an FYI this is a true mom and pop operation. It is Tammy and her husband. Don't expect stuff to come out of the kitchen in 10 minutes. A lot of love is put into the food.
